VDF Support Operations Group

The Support Operations Group was established March 1, 2020. The commander is Col. (Va.) Donald. J. Thornley.

The Support Operations Group mission has three primary lines of effort:

1. Support the Virginia Defense Force by recruiting personnel for domestic operations, cyber security, chaplain, medical and legal specialties.
2. Train the VDF Force to support Virginia Department of Military Affairs Domestic Operations Missions.
3. Directly support DMA via professional specialties and training resources.
