Department of Veterans Services wellness portal available to VDF

RICHMOND, Va. — Virginia Defense Force personnel may access the Cabana mental health wellness platform through the Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) and create a free online mental health wellness account.

“The Virginia Veteran and Family Support program provides healthcare and behavioral health resource linkages and help navigating community resources,” explained Brandi Jancaitis, the director of the DVS’s Virginia Veteran and Family Support Directorate. “We also have veteran peer staff that provide mentorship to other veterans to help during life stressors and recovery needs.”

All Military Service Members including National Guard, VDF, Reserves, Veterans and adult dependents are eligible to create free accounts on the Cabana platform through our DVS pilot. There is also an iPhone app.

Cabana offers resource materials, live virtual skill-building and 8-10 confident support groups every day and a new interactive journaling feature.
